just wanted to say massive thanks to all the organisers of the European Championships,
the racing was fantastic, the atmosphere was friendly and the weather was....................••••,
lol.
A massive well done to Mansfield Tricks and Mansfield Tantrumz on gaining first
place in their divisions. On a personal note many thanks to the judge Andy and
all the teams in div 3, I thoroughly enjoyed the close racing that the tight
divisions brought us.
The long journey was certainly worth it.
Well done to all the british teams for showing the European visiting teams the
best of british flyballing and partying!!!!!!
Thanks again

Gofours would like to thank Barkshires and Mapleleafs for setting up and running
such an excellent show, AND for keeping it going so smoothly in all weathers.
What a pity that the Scots, Belgians and Germans had to see Surrey at its wettest.
BUT, the harder it rained the better the flyballing seemed to go.Nothing seemed
to dampen the friendly atmosphere and the exciting close racing.
This will be a weekend to remember. Thank you for giving all participants a
medal. We didn't win many of our races but we sure enjoyed the company and the
whole event.

The Shooting Stars would like to thank all who helped make the European Championships
such a wonderful event. Although the weather was very British it didn't seem
to dampen anyones spirits and the racing was as good as ever. The evenings entertainment
was fantastic even though Sundays was rudely interupted by a few flying gazebos.
We are all looking forward to the next Euro Champs in Britain.

Hotshots would also like to add their thanks to the BFA for organising a fantastic
tournament. We had a great weekend and really enjoyed watching teams that we
don't normally get to see, especially those from Europe. We were delighted to
get 2nd place in Div 12 and would like to say a massive well done to both of
our teams, especially Donna and Ria for all of the hard work they put in during
the week before the tournament resulting in Ria not running out once, they had
big shoes (paws!) to fill taking Lily's place in the team and they didn't disappoint
:-)
p.s I am still wringing out my socks lol

Bassett Allsorts would like to thank Barkshire Bandits, Maple Leafs & the
BFA committee for a fantastic w/e. It was great to race in a Div where racing
was so close, and against many teams we have either never met, or only at our
yearly trip to Anglesey.

Midshires Mud Pack would like to add their thanks to everyone involved in organising
the Europeans. Thanks for a great weekend. As mentioned elsewhere in this thread,
medals down to 6th place gave us a memento to take away, despite finishing at
the bottom of our division. Thanks too for the great entertainment, great company
and nailbiting racing - especially on Monday. Thanks to all the teams who came
from far and wide to make this an excellent flyballing weekend.

Well done Barkshire's and MapleLeafs for a superb championships. what was acheived
was simply the best flyball i've ever been to, and ive done a few 1000.andy
and i competed 10 year ago at the first european championships, we were given
5 dogs to race all from different teams, none of whom spoke english-dog, we
were in the bottom division and God knows how but we won it. then 10 years on
we are placed in the bottom division with our oldies and newbies, expecting
a good thrashing, we haent been able to compLete with these dogs yet let alone
compete and wow we won that too. so a memorable day for us. we were very Greatfull
to john for the exellent photos of our winners racing, that made the day seem
extra special. and a free team photo was the icing on the cake.
the Terierists had a mountain of their own to climb, with such stiff competition
in thier div but were very satisfied with 4th place, They were all surprised
and very happy to recieve thier Flyball Dog at such an event. Lee and all the
Staffie owners would like to thank the BFA members for accepting thier little
dogs into the sport and giving the owners of such lovable creatures a great
welcome and chance to show what rescued Staffies can do.He was a bit too emotional
to say this at the time.
Running 4 mutts had a ball in div 2 , great racing , Black Brains pushing us
to achieve the 3rd fastest time of the show!! 17.84. they were unbeatable and
we have learned some usefull tips watching thier style. we were honoured to
come 2nd to them. Thanks to all our fellow Div2 competitors we had the most
european division-Wales Scotland England Belgium, what a privilege.

Dolphins would to agree with everyone that this was a fantastic event organised
by the Maple Leafs and Bandits. The weather was certainly memorable - but it
would take a lot more to put off true enthusiasts!
We would like everyone in Division 4 for some great racing and our personal thanks to Penny and her crew for gifting us that leg and to the Hampshire Harriers that was the best racing we've had for a long time!!!
But seriously Penny, Wayne, Graham, Pam and teams FANTASTIC, this is a milestone event in BFA history very, very well organised ... lets see if some of us can go to Europe in future years.
Congratulations to all
the European teams (yes and that does include Scotland!) for some stunning performances,
we really enjoyed watching you train and race - lots of food for thought.

What a fantastic tournament. Well done to the BFA committee, the Maple Leafs
and the Barkshire Bandits. You really did make it look easy - and I suspect
it was alot of hard work - so thank you one and all. We collected our latest
addition, Esky, on the way to the tournament so it was always going to be a
special weekend for us, but we never realised how 'WOW' it was all going to
be. All the Flyballers were great company and all the dogs were georgeous (a
special mention for Honey the Mad Mut - stole my heart)It was lovely to be in
the company of teams we don't often meet up with as well as all the familiar
faces too. We have medals, pens, photographs and excellent memories from a great
weekend. Every one of the 580 mile round trip was worth it, congratulations
on a job very well done.

The Maple Leafs and Barkshire Bandits would like to thank everyone who took
part in the European Championships for their good humour, friendliness and competitive
spirit creating such a wonderful atmosphere despite the awful weather.
Thank you also for all the complimentary comments on the Website which make
all the preparation, organisation and hard work worthwhile.
We walked the fields before leaving the venue and appreciate the effort made
by the majority who picked up after their dogs.
For the Maple Leafs the icing on the cake was coming second to one of the fastest
Teams in Europe, the Jolly Jumpers and our congratulations go to them for being
the current European Champions.
